Today Le Massif de Charlevoix’s team proceeded with the Massif Express Inaugural Ride, thereby officially launching the new gondola that represents the first four-season element in Groupe Le Massif’s $230M tourism and recreation project.
The event took place with Claude Choquette, Vice President of Groupe Le Massif, Hélène Dufresne, President Fondation Dufresne et Gauthier, General Manager Pierre Raymond in attendance, along with mountain spokesperson Jean-Luc Brassard and Donald Bouchard, a pioneer to whom the new Beginner Area was also being dedicated in recognition for his 30 years of devotion to the ski area. Skiers and riders were then invited to board the gondola that conveys no less than 8 passengers per cabin to the summit on a quick, full comfort, 10-minute ride. Offering new loading options at the base and mid-mountain, the gondola is also poised to minimize wait times at peak hours.
