Last weekend, we headed up to Huntsville, Ontario to have a chance to cruise through their newly built terrain park. Upon arrival, it was obvious that the park crew had put in countless hours of work to prepare for the upcoming Timber Tour slopestyle event hosted that Saturday and Sunday. The new park consisted of an awesome variety of features all laid out in a Slopestyle format. The course format allows for a great flow through the park, giving options to hit multiple rail and jump features in a single run. A majority of the features in the terrain park are L or XL features, however MSC (Muskoka Ski Club) opened up a few medium features later in the weekend.

The terrain park included eight rail features ranging from a C-box to a Rooftop rail as seen above. MSC is always very careful to set up their rail features in a way that allows all the riders to get in as many feature hits as possible every run. On top of MSC’s rail setup, perfectly prepared two jump knuckles each with two different sized takeoffs, giving four different options for jump features.
Muskoka Ski Club has a few more features on deck ready to add into the terrain park to keep things fresh throughout the season. Coming up in February, MSC will be hosting two night competitions in the terrain park for riders of all ages and skill set. Overall, Muskoka Ski Club did an excellent job in preparing their terrain park for this winter.
As parks become finalized throughout Ontario, we will travel from to various resorts bring park updates from everywhere available.
