INTERVIEW WITH MARCUS GOGUEN
SBC: How would you describe your signature style?
MG: I try to be stylish and look good when I’m skiing, but I think my style is more just loose skiing with lots of send involved.
SBC: Goals for this season?
MG: Just to have fun and shred because that’s when I do best in my comps, and to send it with all my buddies.
SBC: What progression have you seen in yourself?
MG: Over the past year or two I think I have gotten a lot more consistent on landing my comp runs and landing bigger airs all around.
SBC: What ski industry trend do you see that’s gotta go?
MG: I don’t know about any bad ski trends but I know global warming has gotta go or else we won’t have any skiing at all.
SBC: What are you crushing on your playlist?
MG: To be honest I don’t even have a playlist, I usually just sing a song that comes to mind when I’m skiing which usually gets me hyped.
SBC: Any tips that have helped you progress that you want to pass along?
MG: My tip is to keep on trying until you succeed but Most important of all is to just keep on shredding and have fun.
SBC: Any shout outs?
MG: I would like to thank my parents for always being supportive and being there for me when I need them. I wouldn’t be at the ski level I am now without the help of all my coaches and friends, I’d also like to thank them for all the great times we’ve had. Also a big thank you to my sponsors.
