Ski season is so close we can almost taste it. Some resorts in Alberta (Lake Louise) are already open! To channel this excitement, we recommend watching as many ski movies as possible as the minutes count down to opening day. We have selected a few free ski movies that have recently been released for you to watch while you wait.

Level 1 – Wasteland

Celebrating 25 years of Level 1 the best way they know how. New faces and old friends, behind the lens and in front of it. Level 1 handpicked an amazing crew of skiers and chased them across the globe last winter, capturing their style in the streets and the backcountry. Since 1999, Level 1 has been documenting skiing into the future: sit back and enjoy the latest chapter.

Line Skis – What’s Your Number?

In February of 2024, the Line Skis freeride team set out on a 3-week emotional bonding experience to the northern reaches of the Rocky Mountain Trench in Valemount, British Columbia.

Numinous – Kye Petersen

Released in 2017 and now for free on the world-wide-web, Experience the awe of backcountry skiing in NUMINOUS, the award-winning film by Dendrite Studios and Kye Petersen, hailed as “Movie of the Year” by Powder Magazine. Journey with Petersen—one of the world’s most aggressive and innovative freeskiers—as he and a legendary cast explore British Columbia’s untouched mountains. Capturing the spirit of extreme skiing, breathtaking cinematography, and raw wilderness, NUMINOUS is a tribute to adventure, connection, and survival. Featuring ski legends like Pep Fujas, Tatum Monod, and Logan Pehota, this film is a must-see for any true ski and mountain film lover.

Brap Ski 4 – Karl Fostvedt

Crazy Karl and Co. are back with the fourth installment of “Brap Ski”. These films do an amazing job showcasing the glory of snowmobile skiing, well the good parts at least. If this movie doesn’t inspire you to pull a second mortgage on your house and buy a 2025 Ski-Doo Turbo, you should probably watch it again.

Level 1 – Delirium

Whereas Wasteland was a mixed bag of terrain, “Delirium” is strictly urban skiing. Words from Rudy: “Following our 2022 film “Psychoactiv”, the focus shifted to a more open & colourful vision of street skiing. “Delirium” is an ode to our love for this discipline. With this film we aim to showcase what happens when you take the pressure off yourself and go out with an open mind.
