Orage is a proudly Canadian outerwear brand born in Quebec in 1989, built by skiers who wanted gear that performed on the mountain and looked good off it. For more than 36 years, they’ve been pushing the boundaries of technical design. From weather-proof shells to innovative insulation systems, Orage is always blending function and style. Known as early innovators in modern ski outerwear, Orage continues to craft apparel that thrives in harsh conditions while staying true to its creative, athlete-driven roots.
Orage MTN-X Canyon 3L Light Jacket – The do-it-all dynamo

This is the “Quiver killer”of jackets. That means that once you get this jacket, all your other jackets will start to collect dust in your closet. Great for skiing in the winter AND hiking in the summer. Winter or summer, the versatility of this jacket is exceptional. It is a very light weight 3L shell with a 20k water proof rating, 30K breathability rating and it’s stretchy. This is the perfect all-rounder jacket. Don’t forget, the Canyon is built for skiing. Helmet compatible, cinching hood; backpack compatible pockets, vents, a lift pass pocket on the left arm and it’s even got a built in leash for your phone in the interior breast pocket. We all have that one friend who dropped their cell off the chair lift and watched it slide all the way down the run… If only they had their phone leashed up, like you will soon.
Thinking back to jackets back in 1989, when Orage was founded, it is amazing how far technical outerwear has come in 36 years. The canyon 3L Light jacket is a testament to that. Our hats are off to Orage for this beautiful piece of kit.
The Women’s equivalent is called the MTN-X Fjord. Different fit, tailored for the ladies, same great performance and general vibe.

Orage MTN-X Gibson 3L Bib Pant – If it Ain’t broke, don’t fix it

Back for another year, un-changed. Perfected? Quite possibly.
These are really great 3L bib-pants that are built to hold up to abuse. We have one tip for buying, but first let’s get technical. The fabric has a 20K waterproof rating, 20K breathability and has some stretch to it. Vents run from the top, near the suspenders, all the way down to the knee. You know what that’s for, dumping… heat, of course. These bibs have a zipper running from your chest all the way down to the fly, also great for dumping heat. The chest has a built-in transceiver pocket. Cargo style, expandable pockets on both legs. I could go on and on but let’s get to the buying tip. Strongly consider going up a size, especially if buying online. It’s always better to have a looser fit on your legs with ski pants. Better yet, head down to your local ski shop and try them on to make sure they fit just right. Support your local shop and support this Canadian brand that is doing a fantastic job innovating technical outerwear since 1989. Keep on killing it Orage!
The Women’s equivalent is called the MTN-X Cliff. Different fit, tailored for the ladies, same great performance and general vibe.

Orage MTN-X Echo Down Jacket (all gender) – That’s hot

Whether you’re skiing on the coldest day or bar hopping at midnight in -25 degree celsius, the Echo down jacket will keep you toasty. It’s an 800 fill down puffy jacket that keeps your body heat trapped. It packs down really small too. This is a fantastic layer to throw on top of your shell when you’re changing over from uphill mode to decent mode out in the back country. If it’s super cold on the resort, put it under your shell. You’ll stay warm, and you’ll look jacked. What more could you ask for?
