Everyone loves a pre-season rail jam. Especially one taking place right in the heart of the city. The back steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery served as the venue for this very aesthetically pleasing event. In celebration of the opening of a new Peak Performance store in Vancouver, the technical outerwear brand did something really cool: they put on a rail jam. It was called “Vancouver Drop In rail Jam” and it took place on December 7th 2025.

The rail jam served as the grand opening event for Peak Performance’s second Vancouver location at 813 Burrard Street. It was hosted in partnership with CHEF LLC, Red Bull Canada, UBC Ski & Board, & Arena Snowparks.

Setup began at 7 a.m. during a morning deluge, with Arena Snowparks installing three custom-built features and volunteers from UBC Ski and Snowboard Club driving in over 2000 cubic feet (60-70 cubic meters) of snow.
The results
Winners split a $6,000 prize purse. Here were the results:

Women: Shonny Charbonneau (1), Makenna Griffiths (2), Mili Hofmann (3)

Men: Mark Hendrickson (1), Max Moffat (2), Rudy Lepine (3)
Rail jams are so important to the culture of freeskiing. It’s great that a brand like Peak Performance decided to host this event. Thank you, Peak Performance, for opening your new 813 Burrard Street location in style. The Vancouver ski scene appreciates you.
