What Is AKAMP?

AKAMP is a summer ski and snowboard camp held each July at Sommet Saint-Sauveur’s Avila slope in Québec. It’s the only on-snow summer park in Eastern Canada, built from snow stockpiled at the end of winter and maintained by a tight crew of volunteers and riders.

Each year, AKAMP attracts skiers and snowboarders from across Québec and Ontario looking for a few more park laps in the sun. It’s low-key, no frills, and all about keeping the feeling alive when most hills are long shut down.

What Went Down at AKAMP 2025

This year’s setup was classic AKAMP: a mix of rails, tubes, and DIY features shaped daily. The vibe leaned more backyard session than training camp—riders pushing themselves, but mostly just enjoying being on snow in July.

Sessions ran late, the weather held, and the snow held up surprisingly well through the week. There was no big production around it—just a few dozen riders getting after it in the heat, dusting off the rust and seeing what tricks they havent forgotten.

“AKAMP has always been a summer tradition, a place where the riding community comes alive. I feel lucky to have such an epic gathering right here in my hometown in Saint-Sauveur. This year was absolutely insane the crew and all the volunteers were on point right up until the very last session.

Arsenic Captures the Energy

If you weren’t there, Arsenic Anywhere’s new video, dropped just days ago, sums it up better than words. Loose edits, slushy tricks, and that perfect blend of creativity and not caring too much. It’s not about the biggest tricks—it’s about skiing with your crew when almost nobody else is.

The edit makes it clear: AKAMP still matters, even if it flies under the radar. It’s one of the few places keeping summer skiing alive in the East without the need for glaciers, air bags, or lift lines

AKAMP Forever

There aren’t many summer options left for skiers in North America—especially east of the Rockies. Camps like AKAMP are rare, and they survive because of local support, dedication, and a love for skiing that goes beyond the season.
