Momentum Camps in Whistler, BC is in full swing. SKIER Magazine was fortunate enough to head up to the legendary Horseman Glacier to check out this would renowned summer skiing destination. We found the ultimate summer ski playground, a ton of pro skiers from around the world and over one hundred happy campers progressing their skiing and learning from top notch coaches. One camper called Momentum Camps “The happiest place on earth” and I think they might be right.
The Horseman Glacier – Summer 2023
Momentum Camps is a private ski facility located atop Blackcomb mountain on the Horseman glacier. Although the glacier has been steadily receding over the past 20+ years, there is still plenty of snow up there to build a world class summer ski training facility. There are two full length mogul courses, a ski racing lane, two airbags and a large terrain park with small, medium, Large and XL features. The park is perfectly designed for everyone from the camper learning their first 360 to the X-games gold medalists perfecting their double cork 1440. It is the prefect environment for progression and fun.
Pro Skiers and Top Notch Coaches at Momentum Camps
Momentum attracts the best professional skiers from around the world because they know that if offers the best summer skiing in North America. They flock to Momentum to train and have fun, to work as coaches and to work as support staff maintaining the park, moguls and race courses.
Campers at Momentum ski with a different coach every day, giving them the opportunity to learn from a variety of different skiers. One day you may be skiing with Joss Christensen, the next day Max Moffatt the next day Alex Hall. Learning from your favorite pro skiers is a dream come true for many young skiers.
