Quebec mountaineer Charles Page, 38, is gearing up for what could be the most ambitious chapter of his climbing career yet. Already a trailblazer in Canadian mountaineering, Charles is believed to be the first Quebecer to summit five 8,000-meter peaks—Manaslu, Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and K2—achieved in just two years.

This spring, Charles sets his sights on Annapurna I (8,091 m) and Kangchenjunga (8,586 m) in Nepal. If successful, he could become the first Quebecer to summit Annapurna and potentially the first Canadian man to conquer the five highest mountains on Earth.

But Charles’ expeditions are about more than personal achievement. He’s a passionate advocate for giving back, raising over CAD $175,000 for Quebec’s Enfant Soleil Foundation, speaking at schools across the province to inspire youth, and serving as an ambassador for the Ste-Croix/Heriot Hospital Foundation’s Great Challenges events.

“Climbing these peaks isn’t just about technical skill,” Charles says. “It’s about teamwork, trust, and respect—especially for the Sherpas I climb with. Every summit is a reminder that nothing is achieved alone. This journey is about pushing my limits, giving back, and sharing the mountains with others.”
