Meet the HoverAir X1 ProMax, a pocket-sized self-flying drone that’s basically your personal cameraman. No remote required, just keep it in sight and it locks onto you using advanced computer vision tracking. We tested it, and yes, it really follows you like magic.

With 10 automated flight modes—including orbit, follow, indoor follow, dolly track, plus skiing- and biking-specific modes. You’ll get cinematic shots effortlessly. The propellers are fully caged, making the drone crash-resistant and safe to fold into your pocket. Bump into a branch or a wall? No problem. 9/10 times, it keeps flying.

HoverAir Beacon & Joysticks — Next-Level Control

The HoverAir Beacon is a modular three-piece controller that takes your X1 ProMax experience to the next level. On its own, the Beacon connects to the drone via HoverLink, giving you live camera feed, visual playback, and a built-in microphone that automatically records audio while filming. Clip it to yourself and capture the crunch of your ski boots in the snow on a cold winter day, the metallic sound of skis sliding on metal, or your hoots of joy mid-face shot. Film makers know that audio is just as (if not, MORE) important as video quality, which is why the beacon is such a valuable addition to this camera set up.
Combine the beacon with Joystick A and you can pilot the drone with precision, including a trigger-activated motion control mode. Snap the beacon onto Joystick B for a dual-joystick setup with up to 1 km transmission, letting you control every move while seeing exactly what the drone sees. Connect your phone for an even bigger display.
For filmmakers, or anyone who cares about sound as much as shots, the Beacon is an innovative, must-have add-on for the HoverAir X1 ProMax.
