Garmin Fenix 8 Smart Watch

The Garmin Fenix 8 continues to raise the bar for multisport GPS watches, combining rugged durability with an impressive suite of performance and lifestyle features. The first thing you’ll notice is the sharper, higher-resolution touchscreen display than previous generations. Garmin has also refined the watch’s haptic feedback and stock watch faces, giving the Fenix 8 a more polished feel.

Where this watch truly shines is its incredible versatility. Whether you’re resort skiing, touring in the backcountry, mountain biking, trail running, hiking, paddling, surfing, golfing, or even playing disc golf, there’s a dedicated activity profile designed to track the metrics that matter most for that sport.

The Fenix 8 delivers a wealth of performance data, including distance, speed, heart rate, GPS tracking, elevation, training effect, and detailed graphs that help you analyze every workout. A built-in flashlight, contactless payment capabilities, smartphone notifications, and music controls make it just as useful off the trail as on it.

One of the most valuable features is Garmin’s advanced sleep tracking. The watch records your deep, light, and REM sleep, along with awake periods, then generates a nightly sleep score. It’s fascinating data that can help identify recovery patterns, improve training decisions, and ultimately lead to better performance and overall well-being.

NOCS Field Issue 10 x 42 Binoculars

If you’re looking for premium optics without the premium price tag, the Nocs Field Issue 10×42 binoculars are hard to beat. In fact, they are both my top choice and the favourite pick of celebrity biologist Forest Galante when it comes to getting exceptional glass at an outstanding value. Simply put, the performance-to-price ratio is remarkable.

This model features a 10×42 configuration. The 10x magnification means objects appear ten times closer than they do with the naked eye, making them ideal for wildlife viewing, birding, hunting, or outdoor adventures. The 42mm objective lenses allow plenty of light to enter the binoculars, providing a bright, clear image and improving visibility in low-light conditions such as dawn and dusk.

Marketed as “the most compact full-size binocular ever made,” these binoculars deliver impressive optical performance in a lightweight, easy-to-carry package. The high-quality glass produces sharp, crisp images with excellent clarity and colour reproduction. Built for real-world use, they are waterproof, dustproof, fogproof, and tripod compatible. A rugged rubberized housing helps protect against impacts and rough handling in the field.

You can also get Photo Rig Smart Phone Adapter and use the Bino’s as a tele-photo lens! Its a little finicky, but when you get it all lined up and dialed it, it works great.

Perhaps the most impressive feature is the lifetime warranty. It’s a level of long-term support that adds tremendous value and peace of mind to an already outstanding product.

Fjällräven Abisko Hike Lite 20L Backpack

Some backpacks are built for hiking. Others are built for trail running. The Fjällräven Abisko Hike Lite 20L looked at both and said, “Why not both?”

This lightweight daypack takes its biggest inspiration from a running vest. The shoulder straps are wider than you’d expect on a pack this size and feature built-in stretch pockets that are perfect for carrying water bottles, snacks, your phone, or any other essentials you want within arm’s reach. The result? Fewer excuses to stop every five minutes because your trail mix is buried at the bottom of your pack.

Despite its minimalist design, this pack punches well above its advertised 20-litre capacity. The external webbing makes it easy to lash on bulky gear like jackets, helmets, or trekking poles when your adventure starts to outgrow the main compartment.

The removable hip belt includes a handy zippered pocket for quick-access items, while dedicated trekking pole attachment points keep your hands free when the trail levels out. The water-resistant construction also shrugs off light rain, because weather forecasts are often more of a suggestion than a promise.

One of my favourite features is how travel-friendly it is. With no rigid frame, it packs flat into a suitcase, making it the perfect companion for vacations, day hikes, and spontaneous adventures. Light, comfortable, and surprisingly capable, this is the kind of pack you’ll find yourself reaching for far more often than you’d expect.

Adidas Sport Kentro

The Adidas Sport Kentro is designed with runners in mind, but it quickly proves itself as a solid all-round performer for any high-output activity.

A full-rim construction adds durability and makes the frame feel tough and ready for real-world use, not just light training sessions. The shape sits comfortably without feeling bulky, and the wraparound, angular design delivers a wide, unobstructed field of vision.Ventilation is a standout feature. The frame is engineered for airflow, and in testing, fogging hasn’t been an issue so far, even during higher-intensity efforts. That’s a big win when most sunglasses eventually turn into a steam room. The curved design also does an excellent job of blocking wind, glare, and debris, making them especially effective in bright, reflective environments like snow or water.

In short, the Kentro is a lightweight, protective, and highly functional sport sunglass that stays clear, stays put, and stays out of your way when you’re moving fast.

Arcade Aero Mag Belt

The Arcade Aero Mag Belt takes something as simple as a belt and makes you wonder why we ever tolerated the rigid, uncomfortable versions in the first place.

Built with Arcade’s new Performance Stretch Pro material, it’s designed to move with you rather than fight against you. It’s highly abrasion-resistant, maintains its stretch over time, and has one of the strongest tensile ratings in the lineup, so it’s not just stretchy, it’s built to last.

The standout feature is the Swiftlock magnetic buckle. It uses a smooth magnetic connection paired with a tension lock system, making it easy to put on and take off while still staying secure. No accidental mid-hike belt failures here. It fits a wide range of waist sizes (up to 101 cm) and is also airport-friendly, passing through metal detectors without needing to be removed.

In short, it’s lightweight, low-profile, and quietly one of those “once you try it, you don’t go back” pieces of gear.

Scout Travel Smart Tag

The Scout Travel smart tag is a simple little device that does a lot of heavy lifting when it comes to keeping track of your gear. It combines a digital ID, luggage tracker, and alarm into one compact unit.

Scan the QR code and your contact info appears instantly, making lost luggage a lot more likely to find its way back to you. It also connects with Apple’s Find My network, so you can track your bag right from your phone. On top of that, it has a built-in alarm that can sound off if your bag is moved or if you’re trying to locate it in a sea of identical black suitcases at baggage claim. Equal parts locator and deterrent.

It’s not just for travel either. Clip it to a bike or gear bag for an extra layer of security. In short, it’s a small tag that helps you keep tabs on pretty much anything you don’t want disappearing into the void.

Knog Bandicoot 250 Headlamp

If you’re looking for a lightweight headlamp that won’t bounce around while you’re moving, the Knog Bandicoot 250 is a fantastic option. Whether you’re running, hiking, or tackling any high-energy activity, it sits securely on your head and stays comfortably in place.

With five different lighting modes, you can choose the perfect beam for any situation. Use Combo mode for maximum brightness, Spot mode to see farther down the trail, Ambient mode for wide, even illumination, Red Light mode around camp or when you’re with a group to avoid blinding others and preserve night vision.

one innovative feature is the built-in USB charger, so you never have to worry about packing or misplacing a charging cable, just plug the headlamp directly into a USB-A port.

Comfortable, practical, and designed with active users in mind, the Bandicoot 250 is an excellent choice for runners and anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors.
