As time progresses the sport of free skiing is evolving at a rapid pace. The North Face continues to help up and coming skiers like Catherine Agnew, aka “Cattylou,” shoot their shot and make their mark on the sport we love.
“The chamlang futurelight jacket is the perfect fit and colour- I love it so much. Paired with the dawnstrike pants I’m dry and warm on any day.” Cattylou
Getting to know Cattylou
Cat is a well rounded skier who does it all. Hailing from Kemptville Ontario, Cat grew up skiing at Camp Fortune and Mount Packenham near Ottawa. She made the move west a few years ago and currently lives in Pemberton BC. Whether she is hitting handrails in the city streets, shredding park laps on Blackcomb or sled skiing in the Whistler backcountry, Cat is out there pushing her limits and progressing her skiing abilities.
What gets you fired up to go skiing?
Honestly if there’s any new snow or sunshine I’m always keen to go out. Or even watching a really sick skiing or boarding video the night before, gets me stoked to do stuff the next day.
What do you consider ideal skiing conditions?
Honestly I’m not too picky… but if there’s new snow or if it’s sunny I’m there.
Are you working on any projects?
Not too much this year, I just had a street video come out for Surface and I’m filming with the Dead Barbies.
Plans for the rest of the season?
Hopefully snowmobile and spring park until I the forest fires start again.
What do you do in the off season?
I’m a wild land fire fighter in BC.
