An interview with Jonathan Rollins
SKIER sat down with cast member and star of the film Jonathan Rollins (JR for short) to see what he had to say about this year’s film.
“Like a farmer harvesting their crops, we left nothing on the table this season- despite quite possibly the worst winter since any of us have been alive. When you water the plants they will grow, and when the time comes, they will grow, and you can’t leave anything to waste” – Jonathan Rollins
- SKIER – So JR, what do you think fellow cast member Jacob Belanger would have to say about shooting for THE HARVEST last year?
- JR – He would probably say something like, “Unfortunately everyday is not a Saturday because we all have day jobs and broken sleds.” And don’t forget to read that with a French accent.
- SKIER – What do you think Will Possum would say asbout shooting last season?
- Jr – Will would probably say, “Fresh off my third broken collarbone I was stoked to get back out there with the crew until I got out there and broke my collarbone again.”
- SKIER – Oh that’s rough… What would the big cheese, Joey Kraft say about making the film?
- JR – Haha What would Joey say? Probably something like, “I’m not doing this again next year and I’m for real this time“
- Thank you JR, for imagining what those guys would say! Let’s see how accurate JR was. SKIER asked Big Cheese, aka Joey Kraft what he has to say about making THE HARVEST. Here is what Jeoy said:
“Following last season, I was pretty burnt out on putting together a short film, and I didn’t want to do it again, but it’s equally as fun as it is exhausting. Also, we were lucky enough to receive support from some great sponsors like Vancouver Island Brewing, RMU, and Flylow so we ended up making the sequel to “Water The Plants”, “THE HARVEST”. Hope people enjoy it.” – Joey Kraft
Can’t wait to watch this film!
