MEET VOLKL’S BLAZE SKIS

Völkl’s NEW Blaze series of skis = Playful Freeride skis that are lively, lightweight products with easy all-day handling in a wide variety of snow conditions. These are for riders who are constantly looking for alternative terrain, either adjacent to the groomers or adjacent to the resort. With 4 new models, 2 unisex, and 2 women’s, the all-new BLAZE series provides an off-piste feel for intuitive skiers. One of the lightest freeride skis in its class.

WHAT’S NEW EXACTLY?

Volkl’s Blaze radius technology

3D Radius Sidecut =  contributes significantly to the ski’s great agility and maneuverability.   With longer radii at the tip and tail and a tighter shape in the midbody – allows the skier to make incredibly quick turns relative to the width of the ski. Volkl has set an absolute benchmark in terms of the variability of the turning radii and the combination of easy handling and resistance.

Suspension Tips =  ensures smooth initiation of turns and good handling, especially in challenging and variable snow conditions. An insert made of elastic, rubbery material on the edges of the tip and tail acts like a bumper at the point of the ski which first comes into contact with the snow in wind-blown or tracked snow. Its shock-absorbing elasticity ensures better resistance and supportive lift.  The shape of the tip allows a smooth, catch free ride quality.

Titanal Binding Area = Under the binding, a titanal center sheet provides some extra grip and solid binding screw retention.

Hybrid MultiLayer WoodCore = A new hybrid wood core has been engineered for lighter weight, giving the ski great maneuverability and quickness while maintaining Völkl’s signature edge grip. Made up of Beech / Poplar / Paulownia / and a highly engineered ISOCORE material.
